GraphStream Incorporated is a privately-held corporation with
headquarters in Belmont, CA, USA.
GraphStream is a supplier of fully integrated, modular, scalable computer
systems and associated services. GraphStream Scalable Computing Platform (SCP) systems are based exclusively on mainstream
open-standard architecture and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)
components.
SCP systems are optimized to support the most advanced technical and
visual computing applications in energy, finance, manufacturing, media, medicine, national security, and science. Each SCP system is built to order and is
configured in straightforward building-block fashion, using a set of standard
rackmount module designs.
GraphStream's business, marketing, engineering, and support leadership includes
alumni from Silicon Graphics, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and other pioneering
suppliers of modular, scalable computer systems.
GraphStream was immediately profitable in the very first quarter beginning with
our founding in 2003, and has been consistently profitable in every quarter
since then.
Key elements of GraphStream's business model are as follows:

 |
Operate the business as efficiently as possible, in order to enable
highly competitive pricing for every single product and service that we
offer. Take advantage of every available opportunity to maximize efficiency. |

 |
Design, build, sell, and support cost-efficient modular scalable
computer systems based on open-standard architecture and
COTS components. |

 |
Offer standardized rackmount modules based on a highly selective menu of
specific COTS component designs (e.g., server
mainboards). Get to know these designs very well (including workarounds for
known problems), and support them well. |

 |
Select each offered COTS component design based on highest quality and a
balance between performance and cost that is efficient and appropriate for
our customers' applications. |

 |
Work in close partnership with COTS component suppliers, to help tailor
their most advanced designs for efficient application in
GraphStream systems. |

 |
Maximize the efficiency of the COTS component supply chain by purchasing
in bulk directly from manufacturers, thereby eliminating layers of
distribution overhead. |

 |
Perform all top-level system design and support functions in-house, in
order to maintain direct control over the quality of the customer
experience. |

 |
Outsource assembly and logistics operations to a manufacturing
partner with first-class high-capacity ISO-certified facilities and global
reach. Manufacture GraphStream products alongside enterprise-class "Tier-1"
computer system products, using the same facilities. Minimize unnecessary
costs by avoiding any investment in infrastructure that is redundant with
our partners' facilities. Operate on a maximally efficient
build-to-order model. |

 |
Communicate clearly with each prospective customer to set expectations
accurately about the capabilities and also the limitations of GraphStream
systems. |

 |
Beyond the basic SCP platform, offer useful additional products and
systems-engineering services to customers who want them. |

 |
Provide superior-quality pre-sale configuration advice to customers who
request it. Work closely with these customers to design cost-efficient
system configurations, helping to ensure that each dollar will be spent
where it will do the most good. |

 |
Never include in any proposal any extra-cost products, services, or
"solutions" that the customer does not need or want. |
